Legal Services are an in-house legal service based in Ipswich specialising in local government law, providing services to many public sector organisations.

About us

Suffolk County Council Legal Services has a long-established reputation for providing a valued public service of high quality at low cost. We are nationally recognised for excellence by the Law Society for training and developing our staff.

The service is quality accredited under Lexcel, the Law Society’s quality accreditation scheme. As a Lexcel accredited practice we focus on what our customers need, so our services are designed to consistently deliver on those high expectations.

Suffolk Legal has been awarded the LLG Legal Team of the Year in the past, alongside numerous individuals being shortlisted in a variety of categories and a commendation by the Law Society as part of their excellence awards for training and development.
